Is this the right thing? Should I just pull over and rest and then get back on the saddle? How am I going to make it across the continental divide if I can't make it through Connecticut? I started my trip!!!!!!  The day went very well and the send off was amazing.  And so the Adventure begins.  One step at a time.  The entire day was strait up hill all the time....I'm not lying....vertical!   MA 135 is a road to do if you want to work on your climbing skills. Leaving Soon!</title><summary type='text'>This last weekend I jumped on my bike and road to Portsmouth New Hampshire.   Well I didn't "jump" on my bike but I did ride to New Hampshire.  it was 140 miles round trip and It was a great experience.  I was able to pack everything I needed into my panniers strap my pelican case onto the front rack and ride off into the freezing 25 degree sunset... I got a box in the mail from Guyot Design.  They were sending me their product "the Squishy Bowls" and "the Utensils" I am very excited to use these things on my trip.  They are light weight bowls that can be easily cleaned and packed away. What  I am talking about is a holy ground for Hawaiians that I was told has a great swimming area.   I tried getting to it earlier in my stay with Lara but we had poor directions. Which I am sure for many that is a fear.  That is the sort of thing that you cannot control or prevent at all.  The volcano eruption can only be watched and examined and guessed at when it will happen.  The tornados can only be predicted by watching the weather. On my way back from Lowell I biked down to Bedford then took the minuteman trail all the way into Alewife T-stop.  On the minuteman path a biker on a road bike passed me and I tried my best to keep up with him.  Each time I found that I was falling behind I was able to keep pushing myself. It takes bikers and walkers and skaters off of high traffic roads and puts them onto a beautiful, enjoyable pathway.  I was able to finally use that path.  I was heading to Lexington to get in a ride.  Lara was going to pick me up there. I went to Allston to go play games with Oliver again (the 4 year old that I baby sit) I got on my bike and I thought I would try a new route to get there….bad Idea.  I had 5 minuets to get there and got there in 10.
